A6061 Rope Pulley:

Since the inception of the first-ever freediving pulley system in 2016, we have regularly taken customer feedback and continued to modernize this fundamental safety tool. The A6061 Rope Pulley is the 4th generation of its kind, featuring an updated, minimalistic look and constructed from anodized A6061 aluminum and stainless steel for more durability. A strategically-placed handle makes for safer operation and ease of use, while nylon 9 wheels create less friction, requiring less effort when pulling up the line. The pulley comes in a vibrant orange color to ensure visibility, even in murky water.

The A6061 Rope Pulley is designed for dive lines with an 8-12mm diameter. Instructions are printed directly on the pulley for insertion of the dive line. To release the line, simply push down on the handle; to raise the line, place your foot between the pulley and the buoy with your foot turned outward. Setup Instructions

The A6061 Rope Pulley must be used with a large carabiner, 100-120mm minimum (not included).

If you do not have a lanyard stopper already on the rope:

1. Begin by locating the end of the rope where the bottom weight will attach.
2. Pull the end of the rope under the metal pin (through the handle) and underneath the rope stopper (rope stopper should be in an open position*).
3. Continue feeding the rope under the rope stopper and out through the other side.

If you already have a lanyard stopper on the rope that cannot be removed:

1. Begin by locating the end of the rope opposite of where the bottom weight will attach to.
2. Push the end of the rope through the pulley system over the larger side with the wheel and underneath the rope stopper (rope stopper should be in an open position*).
3. Pull the rope through and continue feeding it underneath the metal pin (through the handle).

*The open position of the rope stopper is illustrated below

Secondary safety measure

When diving, it is recommended to take the remaining loose rope and secure it to a carabiner (we recommend using the clove hitch) attached to another place on the buoy outside of the D-ring area, such as one of the handles. This will provide a backup attachment point as a secondary safety measure (see the photo below for reference). Make sure to rinse the pulley system in fresh water after use and let it fully dry before putting it away for long-term storage.

Freediving Rope:

The new Molchanovs freediving rope, is the perfect rope for all disciplines and a great new product for your training and fun dives. This 10mm rope comes marked or unmarked and with an extra 3m for your convenience.

The new Molchanovs rope has been tested in countless training sessions and used in competitions. It is perfect for free immersion but still amazing for any discipline as it does not float or bounce. Even in murky water, the color contrast and markings make it visible to determine your depth and speed.

You will have the choice of precision pre-marked rope or unmarked rope. For both, we also include an extra 1.5 meters at each end (3m in total) so you will not lose length with knots or a bottom stopper.

Other advantages to our rope are that it is pre-stretched. This 10mm rope will not have any issues with drying out and warping. It will fit nicely into your Molchanovs buoy and can be purchased in any length for you to train on and reach your personal best.

Freediving Buoy:

The team at Molchanovs tapped into decades of freediving experience and have designed the Professional Freediving Buoy to be hands down the best freediving buoy available today. Designed for heavy-duty use, the tough, water-repelling PVC components are fused together using double stitching and fabric welding for robust dependability even in the most extreme conditions.

The exterior of the buoy has extra-large carrying handles and fastening lines around the outside which provide great flexibility for anchor points. This also allows freedivers to loop their hands to the buoy during their relaxation phase or resting.

The incorporation of the inner tube directly into the buoy makes it lighter and convenient to deflate and transport to hard to reach locations. Its spacious interior and pocketed cover allow easy access and storage of all your essential freediving accessories such as rope, weights, lanyards and fluids. The reinforced D-rings on the inside and outside of the center assist in line management.

The Professional Freediving Buoy can be inflated using a standard boat pump or through the inflation tube provided through its non-corrosive air stop valve. To maintain this product, it is recommended that you rinse it with fresh water to wash off the saltwater.

*We recommend replacing lanyards every 2 years due to the inevitable weakening of the velcro and possible rust of the wire over time.

**Diving in icy conditions may cause damage to the spring inside of the carabiner if not opened correctly. Underwater, the carabiner can be opened and closed as normal. Above water, assume that the carabiner spring is iced-over due to frigid air temperatures and place back into the water to de-ice before opening.
