This light replaces our old Hydra 1200. We’ve upgraded the battery to a 21700 which let us increase the power to 1500 lumens. The new battery also has a USB-C port built in to directly charge the battery without the need for a cradle. The Hydra 1500 has flood, spot, and red modes making it a very versatile tool as a focus light or normal dive torch. It is equipped with an auto flash-off feature which can be turned on, or off at the users choice The auto flash-off means the light shuts off when a strobe fires. This light is also a favorite of many macro shooters for the ability to use it for back and side lighting as well as having both flood, and spot beams built in to one light.
